Terry Saber is a longtime community
banker, educator and consultant. Terry specializes in
delivering strategic thinking and planning services
as well as all facets of human resource work. Saber
is nationally known for her facilitation skills as well
as her all-inclusive approach to performance management.
Since 1992, her consulting practice focuses on working
with community banks and financial institutions to position
shareholders and management to compete effectively in
the midst of rapid industry and technological change.
Saber has conducted several management studies to assist
banks with organizational structure, processes and systems
necessary to accommodate growth and expansion.
Terry has spoken at the Community Bankers Assembly in
San Diego and was on the faculty of the American Bankers
Executive Development Seminars. She has been a general
session featured speaker at numerous state banking conventions
throughout the United States and in 2002, Saber was
the featured speaker at the ABA sponsored Conference
of State Banking Association Executives. Saber currently
coordinates leadership and management curriculum for
the Graduate
School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin,
Madison, and serves on the Curriculum Advisory Committee;
she is the curriculum section leader for the Human Resource
School.
Saber holds a Bachelors of Science degree, with triple
majors of Speech, English and Education from Minnesota
State University. She has held national certification
as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and
is a graduate of the BMA Graduate School of Marketing
Management and Strategic Planning at the University
of Georgia, Athens. In 2001, Saber completed the Negotiation
and Conflict Resolution Executive Development program
at Harvard University, Cambridge, MA.
